Nic Green an aritst who first came to Battersea Arts Centre with the show Saccades in 2005. This show stemmed from her experience of writing a billboard message for her partner at the time for him to see on the drive from his house to hers.
Since then she has had Scratch commisions for two shows at Battersea: Cloud Piece and Fatherland, Motherland as well as performing Trilogy.
Fatherland, Motherland was started as a response to Green's experience of meeting her Scottish father, only once and very briefly. Through the show she explores parental relationships and a feeling of belonging to Scotland, a place she feels connection to through her father as well as to Yorkshire, where she was brought up.
